The following information shows that by engaging with the Auntie Duck AQ programme, it can help your school achieve up to 10 Modeshift STARS initiatives.

The various initiatives are broken down into categories that Auntie Duck can help support. Completing 10 initiatives would automatically mean the school reaches Approved Travel Plan level accreditation.

Some examples of how to achieve Modeshift STARS initiatives using Auntie Duck resources are:

Example (AQ10) - Deliver an "Auntie Duck Day' with Year 3 and/or 4. To include a book reading, activities and discussion with pupils what they have found out about air pollution.

Example (AQ14) - To promote AQ awareness through Auntie Duck. An Auntie Duck 'Ditch the car, be a star' poster was designed by a pupil to help raise awareness of air pollution around school gates. This was made into a school railing banner to encourage less car use to travel to school and to encourage more active travel.

Example (AQ15) - School celebrates Clean Air day with Auntie Duck! School is engaged with the Auntie Duck programme, and took part in all associated activities and competitions

Example (CU2) - Auntie Duck storybook and resources teach children about air pollution and the benefits of active travel

Example (W16) - Wheeling, Walking, Scooting and Cycling, is promoted through the Auntie Duck story book, resources and assembly.

Example (PR8) - Auntie Duck poster competition. The winning poster is made into a banner to promote air quality awareness and to encourage less parking outside school gates.

Example (PR10) - Auntie Duck session promoted on Twitter (X)

Example (PR14) - Mayor visited school on Clean Air Day and read the Auntie Duck storybook to pupils and encouraged pupils to become'Air Quality Advisors'

Example (PR19) - School took part in the Auntie Duck poster design
