The air that we breathe is vital to us all, as breathing is not a choice, it's an essential part of our day to day lives.
You may not be able to see, taste or feel it, but in that air is pollution and that can affect us.
In a joint project between local charity, the Dog, Duck and Cat Trust, Sandwell Public Health, and the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), a story and series of resources have been created based around a brand new central character.
Auntie Duck has been created to raise awareness of air pollution, but also to highlight simple and positive things we can all do to help reduce that pollution, make our air that bit clearer, and save some money.
As you are a Local Authority that's part of the WMCA we're asking you to help us spread the word.
We have a very simple comms message that we'd like you to send out to encourage people to 'Meet Auntie Duck' which is below:

For parents and carers there is a story, animation, quizzes and other activities, they can use with their children, aged 6 to 9, to learn all about the simple things we can do to make the quality of our air better but also save some money and improve our health.
Please send our comms out as far and wide as you can, let the community know and get involved, and let's all help make our air that bit better!
