Cat the Pirate

8 9 Cat and Dad had finished preparing all the food, so Dad had now moved away from the knife and the chopping board and was stood by the cooker. Like lightning, Cat grabbed the knife from the chopping board and started waving it around like a cutlass (that is a pirate’s sword if you remember). Cat was swinging the knife around wildly; it was almost a blur as she was moving so quickly. As he started cooking, he could see Cat from the corner of his eye. He could see she was pretending to be a pirate, talking to an imaginary parrot on her shoulder. But he could not have imagined what happened next!
